Cloud Edition v2.0 • One-time center setup
This is the only center identity information the program needs. It appears at the top of the classroom board and reports.
Students will be assigned to one section during their first scan. The defaults can be renamed, removed, or expanded.
The program will only offer programs that can be built from the subjects selected here.
Recognition can display ASHR, C1/G4/J6 milestones, Kumonster, birthday week, tenure, and attendance streak badges.
One book maximum per student. No new book can be checked out until the student's current book is returned.
Loan reminder begins after 21 days and automatically appears on the student's normal attendance check-in screen until the book is returned.
In Return mode, scan the book barcode only. If two identical copies are simultaneously checked out, the system will ask which student returned the copy.
If a return ever matches more than one active copyed, the first return can be matched to the existing checkout and the scanned ISBN/barcode will be permanently attached to that book.
Your uploaded reading-level inventory is already loaded, including duplicate scans as additional physical copies. When you open the Library while connected to the internet, the system now automatically fills missing book titles and authors from the ISBNs in the background and saves the results to the cloud.
If a particular ISBN cannot be found online, you can still edit that book manually in Book Catalog.

Choose database.xml or one of the dated XML backups from your existing system. The importer reads the visitor names and 30/60-minute session settings. It does not alter the original XML file.
Attendance data is stored in the cloud (Cloudflare) and syncs across the center's devices. A copy is also kept on this device, so the program keeps working if the internet drops. Export a JSON backup regularly as an extra safeguard.
This copy begins with a blank student roster, blank attendance history, and blank Library loan history. The standard Recommended Reading ISBN catalog is already included.
Unknown student scans open the quick setup flow. The available program choices and classroom sections come from your Center Setup configuration.
Single-subject programs use 30-minute sessions. Dual Math + Reading and Math + EFL programs use 60-minute sessions and automatically alternate the starting subject by visit.
The live countdown recalculates from the computer clock every second. Dual-subject tiles pulse purple 5 minutes before the subject switch, intensify in the final 2 minutes, and flash teal at SWITCH NOW.
TV Mode, student messages, attendance reporting/CSV exports, Recommended Library circulation, overdue reminders, JSON backup/restore, and the title-search manual Library checkout workflow are included.

This copy was preloaded from the center's Attendance Sheet. Two-subject students were preassigned to Math + Reading. One-subject students remain Setup Needed because the source file does not identify whether their single subject is Math, Reading, or EFL. Classroom section was also not present in the source file.
On the first scan of a two-subject student, confirm only the classroom section. On the first scan of a one-subject student, select the subject and then the classroom section. After that, future scans use the saved profile normally.
The Center Setup wizard is built to appear immediately the first time this file is launched. If you ever need to change those choices later, go to Admin → Settings → Open Center Setup Wizard.
Open the center's cloud website address on each classroom device and enter the center PIN once per device. On first launch, the Center Setup wizard asks only for the settings that change program behavior: Center Name, Classroom Sections, Subjects Offered, and whether Recognition Badges are enabled.
Scan a student's QR code. An unknown student is automatically offered the configured program and classroom-section choices. On future visits, the first scan checks the student in and the next scan checks the student out. Repeated scans within 10 seconds are ignored to prevent accidental double scans.
Single-subject sessions are 30 minutes. Math + Reading and Math + EFL sessions are 60 minutes. Dual-subject students alternate their starting subject from visit to visit. Five minutes before the 30-minute switch, the entire tile pulses purple; the final two minutes become more urgent; at the switch point the tile flashes teal with SWITCH NOW.
The countdown uses the computer's actual clock and is continuously recovered after scans, browser focus, TV Mode, fullscreen changes, and page visibility changes.
TV Mode uses compact student tiles designed for a classroom display. Student-specific messages can be saved in Admin → Students and remain pending until acknowledged.
If enabled in Center Setup, student profiles support Math/Reading ASHR tiers, Math/Reading C1/G4/J6 milestones, Kumonster, birthday week, tenure, and attendance streak badges. A qualifying attendance-streak week requires at least two completed in-center visits Monday–Sunday.
The standard Recommended Reading ISBN catalog is preloaded. Normal checkout is student QR → book barcode. Return mode scans the book only. Students are limited to one active new checkout.
If the physical book is not in front of you, open Library → Book Catalog, search by title, click Check Out, choose the student, and optionally backdate the checkout. Missing title/author metadata can be filled online from the ISBN and then remains saved in the cloud.
Attendance records remain in the live database and are included in every JSON backup. Attendance can also be exported by day or date range as CSV. For long-term record retention, keep dated JSON backups and periodic attendance CSV archives in a secure backup location.
The program runs in the browser and stores its database in the center's private Cloudflare cloud account, protected by the center PIN. Keep the center computers password-protected, share the PIN only with staff, and store JSON backups securely because backup files may contain student information.
Before replacing the HTML with a future version: export a fresh JSON backup, keep the previous HTML temporarily, open the new version in the same browser/profile, and restore the JSON only if your data does not appear automatically.
